How to make any characters look more real and give 3D effect?
These some important tips for sketching & shading an any character
The most important thing to remember while drawing the character is border or outline. If you draw outline perfectly the character will also look perfect. Make sure its not dark, use a lighter pencil. I wont suggest using HB, 2H, 4H, 6H pencils as they are too hard and spoil the paper rather use 2B or 4B pencils for outline. Once you are done with the outline you can apply shades. Don't use fingers or cotton swabs for smudging the shades. There are different sized smudge sticks available, use them. After smudging and shading make the outline dark with 8B or 10B pencils. Use the smudge stick again, on the outline which gives it a real look.
